In this blog, we are talking all about how to navigate injury, big or small, and stay on track during your recovery. If you are active, you have a profession that requires long periods of sitting, or you’re above the age of 25, you’ll probably have to navigate an injury at some point. I guess what I’m trying to say is, we are not super-humans. And injury, at some point, will probably show its unwanted head during your life journey. So when it does, I want you to be prepared to tackle the challenge and come out on the other side better than ever. Whether travel is for fun or for business, it’s sure to throw us off our normal routine. So let’s chat about 3 things we can do to minimize the damage during travel. #1 Book A Place w/ Gym Access If you are like me, you thrive with having a dedicated space for exercise. And I can’t tell you how crucial having easy access to a space like this during travel is to your success. Time is so valuable during travel and you don’t want to waste it trying to get to the gym. Breaking down that commute barrier will allow you to get a couple workouts in without losing time with your loved ones, exploring a new place, or attending that work event. #2 Keep Exercise Short & Sweet Workouts don’t have to be long & complicated. Remember, exercise during travel isn’t really about getting fitter, it’s about staying fit....

Maybe Byron programmed all the things you suffer at in the same workout. Trust me – this has happened to all of us. And because of that, I wanted to chat briefly about some simple ways to stay on track during these busy summer months. But Let’s first note that the goal is not to be perfect. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “1% better than yesterday” so let’s apply that to our summer activities and focus on doable steps we can take to stay on track. Step 1: Set a Monthly Workout Goal. By shifting your frequency goal from weekly to monthly, you add some flexibility in your schedule. This creates a buffer zone for those weeks that you travel or have added social responsibilities. Set a goal, put your workouts in your schedule, and reach that goal. Step 2: Sparkling Water Not every social...

Today we are talking about M’s…no we’re not talking about making millions, and we aren’t talking about the iconic candy M & M’s, but we are talking about something that’s just as influential to your success & happiness – MODERATION. Specifically weekend moderation. If you’re like me, you’re probably pretty disciplined Monday-Friday afternoon, but then kinda let go on the weekends. Now it’s important to note, at Bluprint Fitness, we believe balance is key to being happy. But we also understand that moderation is the bridge between happiness and health & fitness success. So how do we practice weekend moderation that keeps us on track with our health & fitness goals, but also allows us to have fun? Tip 1: Drink 1-2 Less Alcoholic Beverages Each Week While alcohol can bring some of the most fun times, you know how the saying goes – “too much of a good thing can...
