What Next?
Wow, the 2018 CrossFit Open is complete!
If you are like me you, you felt all of the following over the last 5 weeks: excited, anxious, surprised, empowered, driven, nervous, and most of all INSPIRED.
YOU did it – and you can do anything you put your mind to!
Don’t let yourself be discouraged by what you couldn’t do or didn’t do as well as you hoped. Now is the time to look forward, work on weaknesses by creating a new plan of attack! Maybe your plan is tomaster a new movement – handstand walks, muscle-ups, double-unders… Or maybe your focus is to develop your engine or increase your strength. Have questions on how to get better? Ask a coach – We are here to help!
What’s Next?!?
The fun part about training is that there is ALWAYS something to train for and here’s what’s coming up for the BluCru:
Murph Training Plan: April 9th – May 19th (Murph)
Murph is a Hero WOD in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. This workout consists of 2 miles of running, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 air squats. Because of the volume required to complete this workout, Bluprint
athletes who want to participate in Murph solo or in teams of 2-3 will be required to follow a protocol
that sets them up for success (more info HERE).
Deadlifts and Donuts: Saturday, April 28th
Bluprint athletes will be in a 6-week cycle that’s programmed toincrease their deadlift numbers. At the end of the cycle, we are all getting together to find our 1RM deadlifts. Nothing better than Deads, Donuts, Coffee, and Community (more info HERE).
Current Bluprint Athletes: I want to challenge you to participate in at least 1 of the above events. Training with a purpose yields the best results.
Future Bluprint Athletes: Find something to train for and you will enjoy the fruits of your labor. Whether that’s in the form of crushing your performance goals or fitting into the bathing suit this summer!
Here’s to continuous improvement!
