Are you always the victim? Are things always happening to you? Do uncontrollable setbacks derail your progress? When will you become the hero of your own story? The dictator of your own life, the sole advisor of your decisions. It’s 100 percent true that we can’t control all the annoying snowballs that life tosses our way. BUT what we do control is how we respond. You have all heard it before…  Get knocked down 9 times, get up 10.  The path to success is not linear, not easy, and it can be straight up so ridiculous it makes you cry or laugh. But it will be worth it if you don’t give up.  The easy option is to throw in the towel when things get tough. Unfortunately there is no payoff to giving up on your goals…just a good dose of regret. So I guess the best thing we can...

Is it that time to set goals again?  This process has seemed to get so watered down over the years. Everywhere you turn and every place you go the next person is asking about your goals or your New Year’s resolutions. Some of us will participate and others will just “ehhhhh, I don’t really have any goals. I’m going to just keep doing me.” More power to you.  But I’m here on behalf of your fitness…. Is there some magical fairy dust that sprinkles over every lift and every burpee you do once you write these goals down? Nah. But if you care about those goals it should hold you accountable and that’s plain and simple.  In my experience most people fall in line with the whole “new year new me” goals thing, so much that they end up setting goals that aren’t even ones they want. It’s the demon...

Before starting at Bluprint Fitness 2 years ago, Dan had a problem. He had plateaued both physically and mentally with his fitness and was losing self-confidence because of it. He felt defeated, and soon fell into a “why bother” mentality…which we all know isn’t fun. But D Wade, being the baller he is, took a leap of faith and joined Bluprint Fitness and soon realized there was more to health & fitness than boring routines and stalled results. He wanted to be the “fit” friend! Dan said “Right away, the sense of community and the positive attitudes of all the coaches at Bluprint was a lot different from the “Globo” gyms I had previously experienced.” Over time, he fell in love with The Plan. The plan that got him noticeable results and put the fun back into his routines. I got a chance to ask D Wade to take us...

I think we can all agree that this has been quite a year…unforgettable for many reasons. It is safe to say, I will walk away from 2020 with a completely different mindset and outlook on life. Here are my top 3 takeaways from 2020: 1. SLOW down Kind of scary that it took quarantining through a pandemic for me to slow down. I was in such a groove of working and fitnessing that I was losing sight of other important parts of my life that needed some attention. I have a pretty addictive personality and am good at putting my head down and getting into a super focused state of mind. That’s great and all, but I do believe there is more to life, the little things, the fun stuff that was being left behind (aka less of a priority) because there was not enough headspace for it. Slowing down...
