Zach Leonard – July 2021

Biography

How long have you been part of the BluCru?

I’ve been a part of the BluCru since February 2, 2021.

What was the problem you were having before you discovered Bluprint?

My previous Box closed during COVID, and the resulting year of home workouts became kind of lame, so I was glad to join BPF last Feb.

Take us to the moment you realized what you were now doing was working.

Soon after starting, the desire to make the BPF workouts part of most every day kicked in because the programming and positive vibe in the box helped me put the downer of COVID behind me somewhat while promoting gradual gains in cardio and strength without being hobbled with excessive soreness or body aches post WOD.

What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?

Consistent attendance to classes has been a great accomplishment. The programming seems to work behind the scenes to promote healthy and well-balanced gains in endurance and strength without really realizing it’s happening.

What is your favorite thing to do at Bluprint?

I like listening to the subtleties from each of the coaches in their group and one-on-one instruction. Always insightful and well-delivered.

What keeps you coming back to Bluprint?

Good vibe, good people, great instruction, good, balanced programming, and a guaranteed prolific sweat.

What would you tell someone considering joining?

It’s awesome for all of the above reasons.

What do you do for fun?

I love being with friends and family doing most anything…mostly cooking, eating, drinking, checking out live sports, music, playing hoops, skiing…

What’s your favorite food?

I eat a lot of salmon, but love sushi, pork chops, lamb chops, tacos, pizza, and pasta. Short answer: Food is my favorite.

Coach’s Comments

Congratulations to Zach Leonard for earning June’s AOTM! Since joining Bluprint in February 2021, Zach has been grinding non-stop. And his grind is no secret – if you are working out in class with him you might hear him making the fan hum on the bike or see him flying on the run.

He’s super consistent and has worked hard to improve his movements, most notably his front rack position. He also takes coaching to heart and it shows in his gymnastics – kipping T2B, kipping pull-ups, and handstand push-ups to name a few. Zach embraces hard work and appears to have one-speed in all his workouts…FAST.

When you see him around, make sure to congratulate him on all his hard work and dedication!
