What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?
I’d have to say my biggest accomplishment at Bluprint would be that I’ve developed a consistent passion for a healthier lifestyle, and have stopped making excuses about being too busy to be one of those people that works out multiple times a week.
What keeps you coming back to Bluprint Fitness?
The people. The energy. The constant variation in classes. The progress. The Coaches. Bacon.
What is your favorite thing to do at BP Fitness?
It constantly changes depending on what I’m feeling particularly confident at in any given cycle or certain movements that I’m actively working to improve. Rowing has always been something I’ve liked in a weird way, I feel like it has similar benefits of running, but I hate running.
What would you tell someone considering joining?
Don’t cheat yourself out of an opportunity to better yourself. This is NOT a scary place, and if you’re feeling intimidated by it but have even a remote curiosity about what it would be like to step inside – do not hesitate to give it a shot.
I had never stepped foot into a gym prior to BluPrint, never picked up a barbell, never ran a mile, never did a pull up, and a whole slough of other “never’s” that I hadn’t ever thought I’d care about accomplishing. I wasn’t particularly “out of shape”, so I thought it was fine to carry on with how I’d been living my whole life. What I didn’t realize then was how good you could feel by slowly changing your day to day routine to incorporate more physical activity. And with that, an overwhelming amount of other positives start to trickle into other aspects of your life outside of the gym.
TLDNR: DO IT.
What do you do for fun?
Recently have been into playing recreational organized Hockey, Volleyball, & Kickball.
Dustin is not only a ballin’ athlete but he’s also our gym videographer that puts together the most rad gym vids highlighting the BluCru! His professional talents are matched by his performance & body composition progress – dropping 18 lbs, shedding 4.5% of body fat, and completing his first workout with pull-ups during the 12 Days of Bluprint workout (December 2015)! All this by being more active in the gym and the kitchen – HoliGAINZ! We are privileged to have Dustin as part of the BluCru.
