David Moy – July 2023

Biography

How long have you been part of the BluCru?

Just about 1 year (joined in September 2022)

What was the problem you were having before you discovered Bluprint?

I recently moved to a new neighborhood and joined a local big box gym. I was struggling to get into a regular routine. In the past I had worked with a personal trainer and had a decent base fitness. I thought I should be able to program for myself, but I couldn’t stick with a plan. Frankly I also just wasn’t having much fun. I would get to the gym and equipment wasn’t available or I felt like it was too crowded.  So even if I did have a plan going in, I was having trouble executing it.

Take us to the moment you realized what you were now doing was working.

I realized pretty quickly things were working and felt the shift mentally. I was excited to come to class and started actively looking to increase my frequency of attendance – something I rarely did in my old ‘routine.’

What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?

I don’t have one accomplishment that stands out but for me, but I pride myself on keeping my head up and keeping a smile on my face, even if I’m gassing out or grinding through the tough part of a workout

What is your favorite thing to do at Bluprint?

My favorite thing to do at Bluprint is to work on new skills.  Working through variations of movements helps me feel stronger and keeps things fresh.

What keeps you coming back to Bluprint?

The feeling of improvement and progress is what keeps me coming back. Every time I come into class there are ways to feel progress that have nothing to do with weight loss.  It could be learning a new movement, challenging yourself to go faster or lift heavier, or setting a new personal record.

What would you tell someone considering joining?

If you’re considering joining Bluprint, I would say take the leap and give it time to work. Also talk to the coaches about what your goals are, they’re there to help and won’t steer you wrong.

What do you do for fun?

In my free time for fun I like to ride my bike, play video games and hang out with my wife and my cats!

What’s your favorite food?

Big bowls of Ramen
