How long have you been part of the BluCru (Month/Year/Duration)?
Since August 2018, so about 7 months.
What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?
I am stronger than I’ve ever been. When I first started I could not even really do an overhead squat or a full snatch at the bar. Now I have the strength and the muscle memory to not fall over at the bottom of an overhead movement, even with weight on the bar! I also have been able to add capacity to my toes to bar. I wasn’t able to string any together before I started at BP.
What keeps you coming back to Bluprint Fitness?
The excitement of knowing I’m getting better as an athlete each day I walk in the door.
Also, the people. I have met so many amazing and driven people and experienced a wealth of support. Most days, walking in the door to see my Bluprint fam is the best part of my day.
What is your favorite thing to do at BP Fitness?
I love barbell movements and Olympic lifts. I also like just talking to everyone. You can often catch me sitting around and talking long after my class is over.
What would you tell someone considering joining?
If I can do CrossFit, you can too. This sport is infinitely scalable and no one at Bluprint will judge your fitness level; we’ve only got positive vibes flowin at BP.
There is a lot of thought put into what we do each week; if you put in the work and trust the programming, you will get stronger. Come experience the community first hand and I think that will speak for itself.
What do you do for fun?
Is CrossFit an acceptable answer? When I’m not at the gym I love seeing movies in the theater and then logging them and reviewing them. I love podcasts, writing poetry, seeing live music, and hanging out with the kids at Breakthrough.
What’s your favorite food?
I love Thai Yellow Curry. I would take a bath in that stuff. Also Dimo’s Pizza.
Since joining Bluprint, Beka has been a familiar face in class. She has a wonderful, coachable, and carefree attitude. Not only has her T2B volume increased; she also crushed her previous DT time by several minutes even while increasing the weight! We are excited to see all her progress in the upcoming year. When you see Beka in the gym make sure to congratulate her on all the hard work.
