Amy Smith – September 2023

Biography

How long have you been part of the BluCru?

Since January 2023

What was the problem you were having before you discovered Bluprint?

It had been a couple stressful years and I’d fallen out of any exercise routine or healthy habits.  It was hard to know how to get started, what to do to get back to physical wellness.  At BluPrint I just had to show up and follow the day’s workout.

Take us to the moment you realized what you were now doing was working.

It was pretty quick in the first few weeks noticing that I really looked forward to class and started prioritizing my schedule to get to class every day I could. Feeling really welcomed at BluPrint and then being able to see and feel the progress in terms of my workouts and what I was capable of and body fat % was motivating.

What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?

Proud of my full chest to floor push-up – think it’s the first time in my life I’ve been able to do one.  And sticking with the healthy habits throughout the SOGO challenge and beyond.

What is your favorite thing to do at Bluprint?

I like the workouts where we rotate station to station around the gym with different at each.  I also like the floor / bench press.

What keeps you coming back to Bluprint?

I have more energy, better mood, fewer headaches/sickness – experiencing myself all the benefits you read about exercise, plus having such a supportive group of others around every time.

What would you tell someone considering joining?

I never thought CrossFit was something I would enjoy but BluPrint is super welcoming with workouts scalable for all levels, plus the coaches and other athletes are always supportive, friendly and fun.

What do you do for fun?

Lately, going to lots of (indoor) rock climbing competitions supporting our son.

What’s your favorite food?

Pasta and cupcakes
