Biography

How long have you been part of the BluCru? 

Since September 2022 (almost 2 years)

What was the problem you were having before you discovered Bluprint?

I’ve always enjoyed a group fitness environment the most, and after moving to West Town I was no longer close to any of my previous gyms and wasn’t finding enough accountability with at-home workouts. 

Take us to the moment you realized what you were now doing was working.  

Logging my workouts in Wodify made a big difference early on; it let me see how I was increasing weights on my lifts over time.  I quickly realized that I enjoyed showing up for class and was actively finding a way to make it fit in my day.  After about a year, I was motivated to make other healthy changes to my lifestyle, which in turn, increased my performance in the gym.

What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?

Finally converting myself to a morning workout person – shout out to the 7:15am crew!

What is your favorite thing to do at Bluprint?

Rowing

What keeps you coming back to Bluprint?

The people – Bluprint has the best community of athletes and coaches. 

What would you tell someone considering joining?

Even if you’re like me, and are intimidated by the idea of Crossfit, try a few workouts, meet the coaches and other members, and see how quickly you’re motivated to keep coming back.  The coaches will support you to stay active and safe during the workouts at all skill and fitness levels.

What do you do for fun?

Cooking, traveling, and learning to play the guitar

What’s your favorite food?

Can’t pick a favorite but I do have a love for salty snacks – potato chips, pretzels, Cheez-its, tortilla chips, and any random snacky thing from Trader Joe’s

Coach’s Comments

Congratulations to Allison for snagging AOTM for April! Since joining Bluprint in September 2022 she has been a super consistent and friendly addition to the BluCru.

She has developed beautiful chest-2-floor push-ups, can deadlift 195, power clean 105, 3RM back squat 160, and has a 95# thruster. Allison always shows up to class ready to work, challenge herself, and is super coachable, which shows in all her movements. In addition to all of this, Allison has shed over 4% body fat and earned 3.5 pounds of muscle.

When you see her in the gym make sure to congratulate her on all her hard work and dedication!
