How long have you been part of the BluCru?
I Joined September 2017.
What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?
Consistency. I feel like all my other accomplishments have come from showing up, doing the work in class, and then going home and doing the work outside class: nutrition, rest, recovery. I’m really proud of the strength gains that I’ve made over the last year, most recently with snatch and clean and jerk during barbell club. Coming from not really having any prior barbell experience before I joined Bluprint, this was a huge deal for me and I’m looking forward to increasing my strength and technique for these lifts.
What keeps you coming back to Bluprint Fitness?
The people! The community and coaches here are hands down the best I’ve experienced.
What is your favorite thing to do at BP Fitness?
Anything with a barbell.
What would you tell someone considering joining?
That if you’re hesitant because you’re scared/intimidated, Bluprint is the opposite of scary or intimidating… Workouts are always going to be challenging, but you grow with them, so there shouldn’t ever be a time where it feels impossible. And if it does, there’s always another option to scale down to so you can grow at that level before increasing difficulty. I feel like some places I’ve been (or sports I’ve been a part of) make you jump in the water before you can swim, so to speak, but Bluprint is not one of those places.
What do you do for fun?
Hang out with friends & family, knit, paint, make stuff, read books, go to the beach, watch movies, spend time with my cats and dog.
Since joining Bluprint, Trish has been consistently in the gym. Watching her growth as an athlete has been amazing. She recently finished up her first Barbell Club Cycle AND was top scorer on her team for the Sun’s Out Guns Out Challenge. In the past 6 weeks she lost 1.7% Body Fat, gaining 1.61 pounds of lean mass and dropping 4.01 pounds of fat mass. When you see Trish in the gym, make sure to congratulate her on all the hard work.
