How long have you been part of the BluCru?
Since August 2017
What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?
Learning Olympic lifts! Prior to Bluprint, I hadn’t touched a barbell since high school, and that was only for the occasional bench press required in gym class. I definitely had no foundation for anything like a clean or snatch, so learning how to do movements I hadn’t even seen anyone do as of a year ago and being able to apply them in my workouts has been really exciting.
What keeps you coming back to Bluprint Fitness?
The people! (Plus Bacon!) Every coach and athlete at Bluprint has an incredible positive energy. It’s infectious. Whether we’re working towards the same goal or individual ones within a workout, everyone supports one another, period. It’s the ideal place to learn, play, and grow, being surrounded by people who welcome and encourage everyone without hesitation.
What is your favorite thing to do at BP Fitness?
Anything legs! Deadlifts, squats, running, you name it. If I’m grounded into the floor, I’m loving it!
What would you tell someone considering joining?
There’s a lot to be afraid of, I know. I was afraid to try. I couldn’t do a push up, and I was watching people do push ups on their heads! But I wanted to change my lifestyle. So it’s ok, be afraid. And then do it anyways. Once you walk in the door, the coaches have you. They will meet you where you are and help you get where you want to be. Pretty soon, you’ll be so busy working and sweating that you won’t have time to be afraid anymore. And when in doubt, just play with Coach Bacon!
What do you do for fun?
Eat (duh!), read, write, teach, tutor, dance, yoga, run, travel, volunteer. And sleep. Rest days are super fun days.
Shout out to Randi for putting in WORK. Through the Murph Training, she got her first C2F Push-Ups and went on to complete Murph with a partner doing ALL C2F reps! She’s also started her homework plan to master the Pull-Up next! Since joining Bluprint she has been consistent with her schedule and making strides with her nutrition. She’s super organized and goal oriented when it comes to her food and fitness – not to mention she’s got a great attitude! We are excited to see what she checks off her list next! When you see her in the gym make sure you congratulate her on all her hard work.
