Kyle Conroy – May 2016


1. How long have you been part of the BluCru?

I joined in March 2015, right around the time of the CrossFit Games.

2. What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?

Consistency. I have been a part of many gyms for various reasons and none are on the same level of BluPrint. Consistency has been hard for me at other gyms, but BluPrint has been easy to show up to.

3. What keeps you coming back to Bluprint Fitness?

BluPrint through its friendly atmosphere, diverse WODs, challenging sets, tracking system, knowledgeable trainers and other intangibles have kept me wanting to show up every day (besides a recommended rest day). Also, trying new things. The coaches have a keen eye for what will be challenging and yet achievable. Thus they will push you to try new things when they think you’re ready for them.

4. What is your favorite thing to do at BP Fitness?

Ringing the PR bell. Ringing the PR bell is important because it’s a physical, psychological, and audible symbol that you have improved today. Furthermore, it doesn’t matter what you have improved upon, whether it’s weightlifting, a metcon, or a baseline physical activity. An improvement is an improvement! All improvements are important and should be recognized.

5. What would you tell someone considering joining?

It’s fun and you’ll see results. If you’re open about your goals, the trainers (along with a few other members) will help you get there.

6. What do you do for fun?

Socialize over board games. Drink craft beer. Play video games. Walk the dog with my fiancée. Cook delicious food with quality ingredients. Enjoy live entertainment, such as circus. Talk about pop culture like comic books, tv, novels, and movies.

7. Coach’s Comments

Everyone who encounters Kyle can’t help but to be influenced in a positive way. Whether it’s cracking jokes or motiving a fellow athlete, Kyle represents what the BluCru is all about – hard work, fun, and results. Over the 3 months leading to this Athlete of the Month Award, Kyle dropped over 3 lbs of body fat all while hitting more PR’s than we can count!
