Biography

How long have you been part of the BluCru?

I joined in May of 2016, so I’ve been part of the BluCru for about one year.

What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?

My biggest accomplishment so far is renewed confidence. I am amazed by how much my perspective, goals and overall sense of self-worth has evolved this past year.

What keeps you coming back to Bluprint Fitness?

I’ve always been an active and relatively fit person, but only within my own comfort zone. I tried a few other gyms/programs before Bluprint, but I always walked away feeling bored, confused or even embarrassed, so I stuck with redundant and uninspiring home workouts instead. In the beginning, the coaches are what kept me coming back to Bluprint – the balance of freedom and supervision made me feel safe yet challenged. Now, after a year, I’m in it for the whole package – the coaches, community, programming and PRs!

What is your favorite thing to do at BP Fitness?

I love to lift heavy and practice a variety of the gymnastics skills. So far, handstand practice and handstand pushups have been a lot of fun.

What would you tell someone considering joining?

Did you have backyard races or do obstacle courses with your siblings as a kid? If so, here ya go!

What do you do for fun?

I love to travel and I live for active experiences all over the world! I hike, cycle, swim, scuba dive and more whenever I can. I also love to read and write and have an aptitude for sarcastic banter. 😉

Coach’s Comments

Kari is obviously one of the coolest athletes at Bluprint. She is consistently stepping up her game and crushing goals. Recent PRs on the front squat (165#) and the bench press (110#) led the way with a bonus of conquering handstand push-ups and her first kipping pull-up! Kari accomplished all of this showing up and working her ass off on a regular basis (3-5 times each week). She’s a positive influence to everyone she encounters and her energy is contagious. If you get a chance to meet and/or workout with Kari, take note of how she carries herself and you’ll be well on your way to crushing goals too!
