What was the problem you were having before you discovered BluPrint?
I always struggled being overweight, but I was determined to become healthy I discovered running. I instantly fell in love with running and was able to lose almost 100lbs. Once I got to my weight goal I realized that I had no muscle. I struggled for months trying to learn and be consistent with my strength workouts but the motivation was not there and I was not able to see any progress. After joining BluPrint I have gained knowledge and motivation for a healthy workout experience.
Take us to the moment you realized what you were now doing was working.
When I first signed up for BluPrint I had absolutely no strength in my arms and lacked confidence. 3 months into my membership we did an exercise for rope climb and to my surprise I was able to make it all the way to the top! That’s something that I never thought I would be able to do. As I paid close attention, I realized that I was now able to do movements I’ve never done before and gained confidence with weights. I can also now visually see a difference in my body.
What is your biggest accomplishment at BluPrint?
My goal when I joined BluPrint was to be able to bench press half of my weight and I was able to accomplish that. I have learned and done workouts I’d never done and only heard of before such as back squats, deadlifts, and bench press which is very rewarding.
What’s your favorite thing to do at BluPrint?
I love attending classes with AMRAP workouts. I also like how encouraging and welcoming everyone is. It’s such a positive vibe every workout.
What keeps you coming back to BluPrint?
The results that I have seen on my body! Also the knowledge I am consistently gaining.
What would you tell someone considering joining?
The sooner you start the sooner you will see results. You won’t regret it.
What do you do for fun?
I love running and going on hikes.

Shout out to Jess for earning June’s Athlete Of The Month! Jess has been a member of Bluprint since March and has been a perfect addition to the 6am squad. She is friendly, coachable, and eager to learn! So far she has lost over 1% body fat, earned 2 pounds of muscle, and shed 2 pounds of fat. She came to us as a runner and has added many barbell movements, body weight movements, and skills to her routine since becoming a member. She runs a 7:19 min mile, has built up to a 95# back squat, and is crushing the deadlift cycle so far with sets of 5 at 105#. When you see Jess in the gym, make sure to congratulate her on all her hard work!
