Gio Rumbolo – October 2018

Biography

How long have you been part of the BluCru (Month/Year/Duration)?

I’ve been at the gym for about 2 years now (March 2017), but I’ve been a more consistent member since January 2018, a couple of months after hanging up my rugby cleats.

What is your biggest accomplishment at Bluprint?

I’m lucky to say attending Bluprint has brought quite a few accomplishments but I think the biggest one has been providing me with the knowledge and skills to set up and consistently maintain a balanced but challenging fitness routine.

What keeps you coming back to Bluprint Fitness?

The whole package to be honest. Byron and his team of coaches are great people and fantastic coaches that personally cater their approach to each athlete; the facility and the equipment are clean and well maintained and the rest of the gym community is made up of awesome people that foster a positive environment.

What is your favorite thing to do at BP Fitness?

I’ve come to really enjoy the Olympic lifting sessions as well as the accessory workout programs. Olympic lifting is something that is fairly new to me and it provides a constant challenge with a fair share of rewards. The accessory programs help provide me with the additional knowledge and guidance to work on areas I normally would not spend time on.

What would you tell someone considering joining?

Come in with an open mind, leave your concerns at the door and trust the Bluprint professionals. I would normally say “have fun” but that is a given when coming to Bluprint.

What do you do for fun?

I’m a big foodie, I like to cook and try out new restaurants. A couple of times a year I try to get back on the rugby field with my “old boys” team. I also enjoy stimulating conversation with friends (or strangers).

What’s your favorite food?

I’m lucky, I don’t have a favorite food, I have lots of favorite foods. But if I had to pick only one thing it would have to be my Mamma’s lasagna, made from scratch with lots of love.

Coach’s Comments

Gio is dedicating work and time to improving himself in the gym and in the kitchen! He just wrapped up the 6-week Barbell Club Cycle with a bang by rocking PRs in both the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk. And without skipping a beat, started the Row Marathon Team Training to prepare for 26.BLU coming November 17th. His coachable, positive, and friendly attitude is what being a Bluprint Athlete of the Month is all about. When you see him around make sure to congratulate him on all his hard work!
